Account Executive (Outbound Sales)

Working at Service Objects

Do you want to make a difference? We do too.

Since our founding, Service Objects has worked to be the data science company that puts people above all else. First, we created an amazing place to work and then we created products that make life better for everyone that uses them.

We are guided by focused core values, high integrity, purpose, and a high energy culture. Our mission is to provide our clients with tools so they can be sure every customer record in their system is as genuine, accurate and up-to-date as it possibly can be.

We’ve been in the data science business for over 20 years: we’ve never taken VC and have been profitable since day one. We plan to double that success over the coming years with the release of new products that continue to reshape data science. This is your opportunity to bring your initiative to a growing team and build a career at a company with a legacy of creating products that reduce fraud and eliminate waste.

Account Executive (Outbound Sales)

You are in it to win! A self-starting closer, you create a pipeline of business by generating interest and landing new logos through outbound prospecting activities and working with an SDR. You understand prospects’ challenges and map them back to Service Objects’ solutions. There are no inbound leads here – it is all you closing deals and there is no cap on how much you will earn.

You develop relationships with all levels within the account, from admins to C-levels, frequently where no prior relationship exists. Your technical and business acumen enables you to become a trusted advisor to enterprises in the $50-$500 million range.

Brief Requirements

  • You have at least 2-3 years as an Outbound Account Executive in Enterprise B2B SaaS.
  • You are a proven sales hunter and fearlessly generate business opportunities through professional networking and cold calling.
  • You have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding quota by driving revenue from outbound activities.
  • You are a team player who will work with our SDR to help source leads, generate discovery calls and ultimately close new business.

That is a short intro to what we are looking for. First, you need to know if you’ll even like working with us. We have one overarching requirement when it comes to joining our team: our Core Values have to really click with you.

If you’re smiling when you read our Core Values, you’ll probably fit right in at SO.

We live our core values every day, and we mean it when we say we provide a happy and healthy work experience. We have a team full of truly exceptional people… the kind you’ll be excited to work with.

What’s in it for you?

What Success Looks Like

One goal is to make sure that every contact record in every system is accurate and genuine – and for the whole planet. No small chore, right? In 2022, we're focused on establishing Service Objects as the leading provider of contact data quality solutions. As a key member of the Sales team, you will find organizations who benefit from our services and successfully close business with new logos based on your outbound sales efforts.

To be successful in this role you’ll need to:

  • Actively prospect with a mixture of cold calling, emailing, and social selling to support outbound sales efforts provided by an SDR and marketing activities.
  • Serve as the primary contact and data quality consultant for our prospects throughout the entire sales cycle.
  • Have demonstrated experience consistently exceeding target goals, hunting for deals, navigating organizational hierarchies and building long-term relationships.
  • Build, develop, lead and execute an account plan that serves as a roadmap for your outbound efforts.
  • Understand the value of managing a sales process to develop a healthy pipeline of opportunities.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. However, we want everyone to have a happy life outside of SO, and we seldom work more than 40 hours per week. There are occasions were things get busy and you may be expected to put in some extra time. We work hard and smart so we can stay in this for the long haul.

Since early 2020 we’ve been a fully remote team and we plan to stay permanently remote, so you can live and work wherever you want (with a reliable internet connection) in the United States. You’ll be working with folks predominately on the West Coast of the United States for a significant portion of your time. Location doesn’t influence your productivity, but it sure does help with communication.

How do I know if SO is right for me?

First-off we think it’s really important to work with happy people. If you have a sense of humor, an optimistic outlook and a smiling face more often than not, we want you.

We also want to make sure you are healthy. We support this by providing awesome health benefits, flexible hours and vacation time. When you’re happy and healthy, it means you care about yourself and care about others too.

We love confident people who are proud of their craft and are humble enough to teach one another. To lend a helping hand and be ready to go above and beyond the call of duty to ease a client’s problem. When dealing with others we are kind. With all that said, we want people disciplined to the pursuit of fanatical customer support.

We think it’s important to promote conservation in our culture, products, and internal business practices. We are proud that our data cleaning services reduce the impact on the planet by eliminating returned mail due to a bogus address. We support charities that protect the environment.

Finally, we know our network performance is cornerstone to our success. We have datacenters all over and we spare no expense to make sure our computer network is fast, secure, and reliable.
