Technical Support Analyst

Service Objects is growing, and we are looking to fill a key position as a Technical Support Analyst in the Applications Engineering department where you’ll be working with internal teams, clients and prospective clients to support their activities. The Application Engineering department is responsible for client integrations, tech support, quality assurance and deployment of our web services. The right candidate should be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

Brief Requirements

  • You must have at least three years of experience and at least one year of customer-facing experience. Strong communication skills will be necessary when transferring technical information between various groups.
  • You have experience with quality assurance processes and a familiarity with tools for analyzing large data sets.
  • You have strong attention to detail and can apply this skill in many daily functions from analysis of technical questions to reviewing large data sets of results. Analysis of results and tying them to our clients’ initiatives will be key.

Competitive Compensation

The starting salary range for this position, based in California, is $58,374.00 - $75,387.00. We may consider an individual bonus for you for successful effort and have a company-wide quarterly bonus program based on revenue, which you're in on from day one. SO wins, you win—that kind of thing. Please note this role is open to candidates outside of California as well. The starting salary range is provided for those hired in California.

What Success Looks Like

One goal is to make sure that every contact record in every system is accurate and genuine – and for the whole planet. No small chore, right? In 2022, we're focused on building referential data set for international addresses allowing us to test our services against real world data. Projects include creating address files for countries, cataloguing country specific formats and variations and incorporating the data into testing applications.

We will continue, as always, to provide top-tier support to all of our clients and prospects which will include walking them through product and industry knowledge as you become an expert on the services we offer.

To be successful in this role you'll need to:

  • Serve as a liaison between our clients and prospects and our R&D team on product issues.
  • Provide analysis and problem-solving, technical assistance and support to clients and prospects and our Sales team.
  • Grow as part of the team to manage technical support requests from a broad range of users.
  • Process client and prospect data to identify trends and recommend product solutions.
  • Participate in pre-sale discovery calls and answer product questions during product demos.
  • Research and develop data sets to be used in various internal development projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of projects.
  • Actively participate in daily meetings to review support tickets and your projects.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. However, we want everyone to have a happy life outside of SO, and we seldom work more than 40 hours per week. There are occasions were things get busy and you may be expected you put in some extra time. We work hard and smart so we can stay in this for the long haul.

Since early 2020 we've been a fully remote team and we plan to stay permanently remote, so you can live and work wherever you want (with a reliable internet connection) in the United States. You'll be working with folks predominately on the West Coast of the United States for a significant portion of your time. Location doesn't influence your productivity, but it sure does help with communication.
