Since our founding, Service Objects has worked to be the data science company that puts people above all else. First, we created an amazing place to work and then we created products that make life better for everyone that uses them.
We are guided by focused core values, purposeful, and a high energy culture. Our mission is to provide our clients with tools so they can be sure every customer record in their system is as genuine, accurate, and up-to-date as it possibly can be.
We’ve been in the data science business for over 25 years: we’ve never taken VC and have been profitable since day one. We plan to double that success over the coming years with the release of new products that continue to reshape data science. This is your opportunity to bring your initiative to a growing team and build a career at a company with a legacy of creating products that reduce fraud and eliminate waste.
Service Objects is looking for a technically curious, hands-on problem solver to join our team in a part-time role combining technical customer support, API troubleshooting, data analysis and QA testing.
Technical Support, Data & Troubleshooting
API Testing & Technical Operations
Service Objects provides APIs for validating and enhancing contact and location data through REST/HTTP and SOAP services. This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working with data, testing APIs, and learning how software systems behave.
We’re committed to equitable, market-driven, data-based compensation and we aim to offer a competitive benefits package to our team members. The rate for a candidate living in the state of California is $32.47-34.59 per hour based on 1-3 years of experience.
This is a part-time position, making it well suited for an experienced technical professional looking for a reduced schedule, a technically strong student or recent graduate, or someone interested in adding meaningful hands-on technical work to their schedule.
We're looking for someone who can become productive and increasingly independent rather than someone who needs to already know every Service Objects product on day one. We'll teach you our services and systems; you should bring the technical foundation, curiosity, and willingness to dig into problems.
This is a temporary (about 4 months) part-time, non-exempt, remote position. We estimate this role to be scheduled approximately 20 hours per week.
You’ll become someone the team can rely on to:
If you enjoy APIs, data, debugging, and solving technical puzzles—and want a part-time role where you can use those skills regularly—we’d like to hear from you.

First-off we think it’s really important to work with happy people. If you have a sense of humor, an optimistic outlook and a smiling face more often than not, we want you.
We also want to make sure you are healthy. We support this by providing awesome health benefits, flexible hours and vacation time. When you’re happy and healthy, it means you care about yourself and care about others too.
We love confident people who are proud of their craft and are humble enough to teach one another. To lend a helping hand and be ready to go above and beyond the call of duty to ease a client’s problem. When dealing with others we are kind. With all that said, we want people disciplined to the pursuit of fanatical customer support.
We think it’s important to promote conservation in our culture, products, and internal business practices. We are proud that our data cleaning services reduce the impact on the planet by eliminating returned mail due to a bogus address. We support charities that protect the environment.
Finally, we know our network performance is cornerstone to our success. We have datacenters all over and we spare no expense to make sure our computer network is fast, secure, and reliable.
