Our Phone Services Compared: GeoPhone Plus, Phone Exchange, and Phone Append

At Service Objects, we provide top of the line phone validation tools that can help enrich your contact data. We currently have three phone services available to our customers: DOTS Phone Exchange, DOTS GeoPhone Plus, and DOTS Phone Append.

Each tool serves a different function, so in this article, we’re going to compare the product features of each to better clarify which tools can cater best to the information you are looking for.

A quick overview

Phone Exchange

Returns exchange information like carrier information, line type, ported info, SMS and MMS details and the general location of the area where the phone is registered. This service can also identify high-risk VOIP and prepaid phone numbers.

GeoPhone Plus

Returns exchange information like Phone Exchange, along with any available contact information associated with the phone number. This can include name, address and street-level latitude and longitude coordinates for the address returned. This service can also indicate if a number has been disconnected or potentially disconnected. GeoPhone Plus can also provide the same information about the line type of a phone number and help identify high-risk numbers.

Phone Append

This service is used to append missing phone numbers to existing name and address data. It will take in a person’s name or a business name, along with the address that is associated with that name. Our service will then search for a phone number associated with the name and address combination and return it along with a confidence score.

Next, let’s compare the features of each of these services regarding their inputs and outputs. Given that these products have many different operations, we will focus on the recommended operations of each service, as they each handle and return domestic phone information for the USA and Canada.
