NoteCodes

  • The NoteCode table contains a list of current and upcoming note flags that the service can report on when processing a request. 
NoteCode NoteDescription Summary
1 IsMailable IsMailable indicates that the address of the contact has been standardized and is of mailable format.
2 IsConnected IsConnected indicates the phone number has a registered subscriber and is dialable.
3 IsPorted IsPorted indicates the phone number has been ported to a new or existing carrier. This is common among wireless subscribers, and users who wish to retain their phone number when switching phone device (e.g. Landline to Wireless).
4 IsWireless IsWireless indicates the phone number is assigned to a wireless device.
5 IsUnknownContact IsUnknownContact indicates subscriber information is unavailable for the provided phone number.
6 IsUnknownProvider IsUnknownProvider indicates provider information was unavailable for the provided phone number.
7 IsTollFreeNumber IsTollFreeNumber indicates the provided number is a Toll Free Access number.
8 IsGoogleVoiceNumber IsGoogleVoiceNumber indicates the provided number is a registered Google Voice number. There is increased risk for fraud with Google Voice numbers from operators overseas.
9 IsSkypeNumber IsSkypeNumber indicates the provided number is a registered Skype number. There is increased risk for fraud with Skype numbers from operators overseas.
10 IsPossibleDisconnected IsPossibleDisconnected indicates the provided number does not have current subscriber information assigned but historical information was found.
11 IsPortableVOIP IsPortableVOIP indicates the registered phone carrier provides local phone number registration without physical address. There is increased risk of fraud with portable voip numbers from operators overseas.
12 IsPossiblePortableVOIP IsPossiblePortableVOIP indicates the registered phone number is likely assigned to a carrier which provides local phone number registration without physical address. There is increased risk of fraud with portable voip numbers from operators overseas.
13 IsDisconnected IsDisconnected indicates a number is not dialable.
14 IsActive IsActive indicates a number that is seeing active traffic. An active number indicates a number more likely to be picked up by the line owner, which can give companies a stronger indication to companies about the reachability of their clients.
15 IsInactive IsInactive indicates that a number is not seeing active traffic. An inactive line is a line not likely to be picked up by the line owner making contact more difficult.
16 IsPrepayNumber IsPrepayNumber indicates a phone line is on a pay as you go plan. Numbers with this indicator are harder to connect to and have a higher chance of fraud.
17 IsPager Indicates that the number belongs to a pager, which are still sometimes used by doctors and other on call individuals.
